Hoya acuta (variegata) IML 1578

I have bought this hoya a couple of times. The first time was in July 2007, but it never survived. I was told by others that this was a fuzzy hoya and it wasn't until May 2011 that I bought it again and from the same place, i e Liddles in Australia. The cutting that arrived was as generous as the previous one and I cut it up in two pieces just like last time, but this time the result was different... it survived and in six months it has grown quite well. Ever since I got it I've had it in our bright north window where I plan to gather all my variegated hoyas...

The leaves are quite shiny and the white vary just like on other variegated hoyas and can be anything from very little white in the middle to leaving just a green edge of the leaves. A gorgeous hoya! The leaves on my plant are 6-12 cm long and 3-6 cm wide.

My cutting came with a peduncle and it hasn't fallen off so perhaps I'll get to see flowers in a not too distant future... From photos on the internet the flowers look white with a bit of green/brown tips, but I'm hoping to show some flowers here soon.
