I
got this
hoya as a rooted cutting at the end of August 2005. It started to
grow well at first, but then it was mostly downhill for this hoya...
In the end it didn't make it and I was really looking forward to
seeing the green flowers on my own hoya... The name chlorantha means "green".
They look so cool in photos I've seen and I got the opportunity to
photograph some flowers when I went to visit a hoya grower, but the
photo didn't turn out very good... |

In April 2011 I
bought a fairly large plant from a grower, but the roots didn't look
too good so I cut them off and potted several cuttings in a pot...
it looked promising at first, but then it more or less stopped
growing. Until spring/summer of 2014 when it really started growing!
It nearly doubled in size just over the summer och it bloomed a lot.
First time was in August 2014 and since then it has more or less
bloomed constantly. The flowers are so nice and they have a vague
smell of candy, almost like when you eat sour balls. |
