I bought this
hoya as a rooted cutting in May 2004 from Botanova in northern Sweden.
They called it Hoya betchei, and they have described it as having medium
sized thin leaves that have sharp points. The flowers are described to
be very pretty and mixed red. |
|
I did find some
information that it should be some variation of Hoya chlorantha, and now
I have received further information that it is true and that the Hoya
betchei in trade should be called Hoya chlorantha var. tutuilensis. The
"true" Hoya chlorantha has green flowers. |
|
2006 it grew more than ever and turned into a
nice plant with thick foliage. It bloomed for the first time in June
that year and after that it bloomed a lot... Really beautiful
flowers! |
|
I sold this hoya
when I moved in 2008, but I've recently gotten a new cutting that is
currently rooting, so we'll see if it'll turn into a nice plant and
show me the lovely flowers... |
