This hoya comes from the
Fiji Islands and it was described in 1866. |
|
This is an all green climbing/twining
hoya, but would also be suitable as a hanging plant. The ovate leaves
are light green and quite dull on the surface. They don't have very
visible veins, very few flecks, are about 4-7 cm long and 2-3.5 cm wide.
It's a fast growing hoya and the foliage gets nice and thick really
fast. Almost too thick since it's easy to miss the flowers! |
|
The flowers
can be totally yellow, but most pictures I've seen show flowers with a red center of
the corona. Each flower is flat, about 2 cm and there are 10-15 flowers
in each umbel. The flowers have a vague fresh fragrance if you stick your
nose into them. They last about 8-10 days and produce no nectar. This is
an easy bloomer! |
