Hoya incrassata

I bought this hoya as a rooted cutting in August 1998. The lady I bought it from called it Hoya crassicaulis, but I was told a couple of years ago that this hoya should be called Hoya incrassata. There seems to be quite a few of these out there!

My plant has grown well from time to time, but it has also stood still for long periods. Even during times when you would think it should grow! It gets a little yellow from the sun once in a while and when it looks too bad I just cut it down and start over with the best looking and fairly large cuttings. I've never failed rooting a cutting of this hoya even if it was quite long!

My incrassata flowered for the first time in July 2000 and it seems to me that this hoya flowers a lot one year and then not so much the next... After a while, the peduncles can get rather crowded in one place and it looks like the flowers grow ON each other!
