I got this hoya from Hawaii in April 2005. It was a nice size cutting which rooted quickly, but took forever to start growing! It has grown well in the past year and has also developped two peduncles. It flowered for the first time in Maj 2006 and before that it had dropped the buds a couple of times. It was worth waiting for! I didn't think they would be anything "special" since they were supposed to be like incrassata... They are a lot nicer and bigger than incrassata, so this is a hoya that belongs in every hoya collection...

Some say the cultivar-hoyas are easy bloomers, and in this "case" it was true. My plant bloomed after one year and I think that is "reasonable". Since those first flowers showed up it has bloomed several times a year... Too bad the flowers don't last more than a few days!
