Hoya lacunosa

This is a hoya that I first won as a rooted cutting at a hoya Christmas party in November 2002 and my little cutting flowered for the first time already in January 2003. I loved the fragrance!

I really liked this hoya, but I couldn't seem to get enough of it... it didn't grow fast enough for me - I wanted lots of these fragrant flowers! So when I stumbled on a rather large plant in May 2004 I didn't hesitate one second. I bought it, took it home, showered it thoroughly, untangled it from the rusty support that it was forced around, cut the long vines into shorter pieces and stuck them in the same pot at my previous little plant. I now have a full pot of lacunosa and lots of flowers on the way. In February 2005 I counted 13 umbels at the most!
