This plant actually consists of two at different times bought
plants. |
|
The first one was bought as an unrooted cutting in July 1999. It was
sold to me as Hoya carnosa 'Lime'. I expected the flowers to be lime
coloured but when it flowered for the first time in September 2001
they were white and I was quite disappointed. They were really fuzzy
and sort of cute, though. The two flower photos in the middle are
from that plant. Someone told me then that it was probably the
motoskei that I had. |
|
The second plant was bought in
December 2002 in quite bad shape and without name tag. It looked
like the 'Lime' just by looking at the leaves, but I kept it as a
NOID. This plant was bug treated and repotted and a lot more before
it started growing and looking healthier. I liked the leaves -
that's why I bought it. (In case you wonder!) It grew really fast
and flowered for the first time in June 2004 and again I was told it
was motoskei. The first flower photo is from that plant. |
|
In the spring 2005 I potted these
two plants together and made it a hanging plant and placed it a
little further away from a sunny window. Now I can hardly see which
vine belongs to which hoya any longer, but I really don't care. The
flowers do look a little different from each other, but if
it is two different hoyas I would still have them in the same pot.
It has grown into a really nice looking plant and I have to wrap new
long vines back up into the pot... Makes me wonder HOW I'm going to
repot it! |
