Hoya obovata x carnosa

When I saw photos of both plant and flowers of this hoya on a Hoya forum I wrote the owner and we ended up doing a trade in July 2007. The cutting had absolutely lovely leaves, but turned out to be slow to root and it sure took time before it started growing! I almost got tired of the little plant, but luckily it got to stay and grow at its own slow pace... I guess it never got a "real" spot in the old house and in my apartment I think it was too shaded. In the beginning of January 2012 it had quite big buds and even though I knew what the flowers would look like it's always something special with first timers and this is one of many (I hope) that I hope will start this year and since those first flowers in January 2012 it has bloomed several times and when I write this (Midsummer) it has two umbels open at the same time. Its parents, obovata and carnosa are also blooming now.
