Hoya compacta 'Mauna Loa'

This is a hoya that I bought in June 2000. It was in the same pot as Hoya compacta (3 green vines and one variegated). The whole plant was rather big, but the 'Mauna Loa' part was only about 30 cm (1 foot). I had read that this hoya didn't grow very fast so I thought I would try to wrap it around a support. It doubled in size in a couple of months and the first flowers showed up after about a year.

I've had to renew this hoya a couple of times since I got it. It just gets too big for my support and this way I manage to keep it on the support. The support in the photo below is about 1 meter (3 feet) high.

The nice foliage and the light pink flowers make this hoya one that every hoya collector should have in his/her collection. If I may share my opinion...
