Hoya wayetii Kloppenburg

This hoya comes from the Philippines and it was described in 1993.

It's a hoya best suitable for growing as a hanging plant. The leaves are narrow, green with darker edges when grown in bright light. The size of the leaves is 4-9 cm long and 1.5-2 cm wide. New leaves can get completely red when grown in sunshine. Lovely foliage!

The flowers are fuzzy, ball shaped (about 8-9 mm) and the colour is maroon/purple with darker coronas. There are 20-30 flowers in each umbel. The fragrance is very sweet like butter scotch and the flowers last about 5-6 days. This hoya produces lots of nectar that sticks to everything!
